popping by again to say that I am not dead :D i feel so stupid starting every post with a proclamation that i'm not dead LOL. but anyway, lots of rl stuff bogging me down, with exams prep that i absolutely cannot afford to get lousy grades again, so i think i probably am going to be popping in and out until october, which is when my exams FINALLY end, oh joy :D

i'm back on lj again and i'm beginning to think that it's going to be near impossible for me to keep anything, be it a fb account, or a lj account. but nothing really big has happened during this long and unannounced hiatus, just my life revolving around school, friends, studying, CCA and the all addictive jpop & kpop fandom. (which suck in the way that they pull people in and refuse to let go)

this hols have been like urgh. didn't get the chance to go out much because i've been stuck at home studying (which means trying to study while constantly getting distracted by many other things), and most importantly,

MY UK TRIP WAS CANCELLED.

grah. stupid swine flu. i was supposed to go on a literature trip to UK with my school and they cancelled it cause of swine flu, which may i add, is just contagious, but not exactly fatal; not like SARS was a few years ago.

and because of my UK trip being cancelled, i didn't get to go to korea with my parents ): but they bought back pretty pretty stuff for me :D like the TVXQ a week's holiday: stylish photobook. i was practically hyperventilating when they passed it to me :D all FULL COLOUR lovely pages of DBSK, and may i add, with every member looking smoking hot in it :D they also followed my wish list and got me the mirotic album + SS501's find album *throws confetti* the kpop fandom is so addictive. ):

i remember i swore that i'd never get into DBSK, because i was so irritated with them taking over EVERYTHING. seriously. everywhere i went i just kept hearing about DBSK and comics connection was flooded with DBSK stuff, and i was so pissed off because there weren't any JE stuff xD but it's all to do with hana yori dango korean version, i swear. once i watched the first episode out of curiosity, i got hooked on hyunjoong, which led me venturing into SS501, and since hyunjoong and jaejoong are besties, i wandered over to DBSK and got hooked :D AND THEN. super junior followed. i can't believe myself. in the past i used to laugh at "that kpop group with 13 members" because they were even bigger than hey say jump, and honestly, 13 people? overcrowding issues. BUT THEN. i got hooked on them.

conclusion: kpop fandom is a very, very scary place. once you get in, you can't get out.

but in all honesty, i really do enjoy listening to the kpop songs. because they can really sing. even though i love JE to bits, don't get me wrong, but their singing talents do leave alot to be desired. their live performances half the time are really obvious that they're lives- because they tend to go off here and there. not to say that the kgroups don't do that too, but overall they do sing alot better.

AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE STUDYING. midyears got pushed back because of swine flu, and i'm happy, but the fact remains that i have wasted away my entire june holidays getting sucked into the black hole that is fondly called the kpop fandom. and i can't fail midyears boo.

okay i'm running off the computer. no, seriously. (i wish)

i got into JE through arashi, and i'm glad that i got into it through Arashi (:

Aiba is one of the goofiest, and the sweetest person i've ever seen. He's one of the most truest, for the lack of better words, and the most sincere person who isn't afraid to express his affections for others. He always makes me smile whenever i see him, and whenever i watch Arashi, i somehow find myself trying to catch a glimpse of him over the others xD He and massu dear are just out to kill me. I have never seen anyone as cute as them in my entire life, and the two people who can make me smile everytime i see them ♥

Aiba has rapidly grown to be one of my favourites, if not favourite, among the JE boys in the one year i've been in the JE fandom, and i'm glad to be a fan of his! Although people may call him dumb, or KY, or those that can't read the mood, to me, he's perfect the way he is and i hope that he never every changes. I've been waiting for this day specifically, and finally i can say this :D

i'm back from taiwan! :D

what can i say. i guess the trip was pretty fun, i wouldn't say that it was as good as my japan trip last year, but oh well. it was still pretty great :D for one thing, the hotels were just awesome. we stayed in 5-star hotels most of the time and had one or two 4-star hotels :D if you asked me, what i liked best was the hotels HAHA. but seriously, they were great. i stayed in an 85 storey hotel, on the 63rd floor for one night, and you already have the whole night view of that part of taiwan right under you :D the lobby was on the 39th floor, amazing huh!

and on the plane, the best thing happened. i discovered that they were showing hana yori dango final! :D i missed it in the theatres cause i was having my exams then, and didnt get to watch it, but i watched it on the plane :DDD poor daddy had to put up with my squealing and repeated pointing at the show catalogues xD it was not bad, kinda draggy at times to me but it was probably because i had to get up at 4am in the morning for our flight and the fact that im in the plane. and movies on the plane are always bad quality. but the ending made me go awww. nice ending to a nice drama series (:

another great thing about taiwan is that they have cable tv and they have over 100 channels to watch. i love going back to the hotel and relaxing and watching tv :D i spend most of my time flipping channels cause there are just too many channels! and they have a few japanese channels too :D i managed to catch a music station episode with tokio, suga shikao etc, and loads of anime like deathnote, lovely complex and so on.

my birthday is tomorrow, but i don't feel like it is. i was at a loss actually, on what to do on my birthday because this is the first time in a long time that i spend my birthday at home. usually i'm overseas on my birthday, which is good and bad. depends on the intinery of the day. oh but the tour guides on this taiwan trip were awesome :D they got a really, really huge cake for the december babies, there were about 4 of us and sang happy birthday for us. it was a surprise, and a wonderful one (: but i'm going out with my friends tomorrow to watch twilight. i don't have high hopes for the movie, but well. i just want to see how bad is it for myself xD japanese cruisine tomorrow night for my birthday  treat ♥

and my masakibaby's birthday is on december 24th! two days away from mine :D 22nd & 24th. i wanna celebrate mine with his xD but i actually counted, he's about 10 years my senior. ah, but who cares xD i shall do a proper post for him on his birthday/christmas eve! :D my dear aibababy ♥ and actually masakibaby belongs to sho. i'm just borrowing him here and there xD

A MAID CAFE. IN SINGAPORE.

are you shocked? because I am xD I totally couldn't believe my eyes when i walked past it and saw it. at first i was just chatting with my friend and walking past this normal cafe when i saw this person in a black & white dress and i just had to take a double look. and guess what i saw? a maid outfit :o and then i realized that it was a maid cafe. (yes, i'm slow) i stood there gaping for a long time before my friend pulled me away. and i still kept turning back after i left xD

but seriously! a maid cafe in singapore? i mean in japan its everywhere, especially in akihabara where it's present by the truckloads, but i never would have expected one in singapore. especially since singaporeans are one of the most not so liberal people around. i wanted to take a picture to celebrate this historic moment, but i decided not to because its embarassing xD it's somewhere in town, near the Singapore Art Museum. in the middle of nowhere haha.

oh and speaking of Singapore Art Museum, i went to the Japan Media Arts Festival held in Singapore!

i saw the flyer for it on the bus when i was in town like a long time ago, but i forgot about it. then when i went to SAM (singapore arts museum) for the korean artist exhibit, i realized that the Japanese exhibit is on, so i hopped over there with my friend and the exhibit is the most awesome place ever. okay, not as much manga & anime as i expected, and it was so empty!

but the third room was simply brilliant. inside that room was games, games and nothing but games. there was a Wii set there, multiplayer, playstations, Nintendo DS, PSP, ITouch screen, and a huge LCD monitor and a viewing room for movies. and and, that's not all. there was also a huge shelf with manga on it! they had both chinese and english, and they had series like inuyasha, nodame cantabile etc. etc. and because it's so empty, you can just sit down on the couch the whole day and finish reading a whole series, or just play the games for like hours. it's a pretty awesome place, considering that out of everything there, i only have the PSP ): i loved the Wii :D can i get a Wii please? and play like ohno's family ;D</div>


and im going off to taiwan in like two days. okay friday. which is one day from now. it's pretty much sightseeing mostly, but thankfully there's shopping, and thankfully i was wrong when i thought that it was all for food. i think there'll be proper shopping at the night markets too (: oh and recently i've been hanging out with the guitar people and they're truckloads of fun :D i wish we had more guitar outings. today, six of us went to a hospice next to Mount Alvernia Hospital (is that how you spell it?) to perform for the elderly folks, and it's really sad seeing them because a hospice is a hospice, and all the patients there are terminally ill. even though they look healthy. even the kids there are all terminally ill, and we celebrated one of the kids birthday there. he is so young! none of them look like they're terminally ill ): it's pretty hearbreaking, being in there.

FLAILS. massu! in a drama! i haven't seen him in a drama ever since erm. ages. so long ago that i've forgotten. and nakamaru! the two of them are uber, uber cute together.:D i think the drama is going to rock with the both of them. and they rescue people :D how great can it get! ♥

just came back from the library! i borrowed many, many books and im starting on Jodi Picoult's books now. i have high hopes for her books, since i see them everywhere and i keep hearing of them. they better be good :D

it's been a lovely holiday so far, and i've been enjoying myself going out and catching up with old friends! :D two weeks ago my best friend came over and we had a fantabulous sleepover xD we had a JE marathon until 5am in the morning! first we watched NEWS pacific concert, followed by Cartoon KAT-TUN II You, and finally Arashi's Time concert :D we marathoned until it was our usual time to get up for school if we had to, and after we finished marathoning, we continued talking. so in the end we had very little sleep. but it was still awesomely fun :D

and recently i just came back from helping out at my church's camp for little kids. they were exhausting, but so loveable! i miss them already. although they drove me nuts and made me fall ill, i still love each and everyone of them. they're all so loveable and huggable! but all good things must come to an end. i dont think they'll remember me but i hope they will!

i just went to watch Madagascar 2 today, and it is totally worth watching :D i kept laughing throughout the entire show, and its good, considering that i didnt finish watching Madagascar 1. i love the penguins :D and the baby lion! and i shall stop here haha! but trust me, it's worth watching.

i want to get this phone! 



it's the Samsung Omnia :D my daddy has this phone and so far i'm loving it, except for the messaging function, but im sure i'll get used to it in time. i really want this phone. although i want the iphone too, but this phone has functions like microsoft word which the iphone doesn't have which i want, so for now its my dream phone.

i have a few more movies that i want to watch like bolt, wildchild and twilight. im not betting much on twilight, since none of the actors appeal to me, especially the one that plays edward (i still dont bother to find out his name), but i guess i'll just give it a try. although i dont have high hopes for it, maybe it'll surprise me.

im back :D haha it feels so good to say that. well, my grandfather passed away last monday, and i've been really busy the entire week, attending the wake and the funeral, but i take comfort in the fact that he's out of his suffering and is with the Lord now. i'll see you soon (:

lots of things have been happening in the period that i haven't been posting! I've had my prom, which was fabulously fun :D dressing up, though my makeup was horrible, and watching others dress up. the guys weren't much to look at though, sadly. none of them had any imagination haha, but its kinda understandable. they don't have much to choose from (though i'd bet if it was any of the japanese guys, they'd look fabulous :D)

and i've been meeting up with loads of friends, which makes me really happy because i haven't seen/talked to them for so long! and my best friend is going to come over soon for a sleepover, which im sure is going to be tons of fun cause we're just going to watch JE videos through the entire night :D

have i mentioned how into Arashi i've been these past few days? :D i remember now why Arashi got me into the JE fandom. they are the most love group ever :D i love every single one of them to pieces (with the exception of jun, but he's moving up. slow and steady) Aiba will forever be my number one, but nino's moving up too! i can't believe i haven't noticed earlier how absolutely cute nino can be. i just finished watching the Marathon special which stars Nino as an autistic child, and i think my priorities are completely wrong. i know im supposed to get the message that autistic children can do the things we do, but all that ran through my mind was: how can anyone be as cute as Nino? i know. im horrible, someone just kill me now xD i swear, i need to learn how to screencap to show how adorable Nino is.

oh and i snagged a meme, when i was bloghopping :D seems like fun! haha

okay, i know that i have been on an indefinite hiatus for ages and ages and ages until i can't remember when i last updated, but this time im going on a temporary hiatus for real. it wont last long i guess, but its still a hiatus.

my grandfather's in critical condition now in the hospital, and we're prepared that he'll go anytime. but at least please pray for him that he goes as quickly as possible so that he'll be relieved of the pain that he's suffering now. it's kind of sad, both my grandfathers lasted so long until this year, where both go in the same year. my other grandfather passed away in his sleep earlier this year, and now another's going to go.

please keep him in your prayers.

i think there's something wrong with mozilla. i can't post in the rich text  format there. thank goodness for IE though :D

exams are finally over, and i've slogged my way through it and suffered my due share too. but thank goodness they're finally over and i never, ever have to take science again in my entire life :D goodbye to science! finally i can just focus on my humanities subjects and not have to worry about failing my science papers every single time. on the up side, we met our chemistry tutor in the foyer and she told us that among the group of us there, none of us failed our chem paper. so that means i finally passed chemistry for the first time in my entire life :D at least a major paper, to be exact.

last week was spent at the zoo! with my lovely job attachment :D i am so glad that i signed up for the zoo attachement, because it was really fun. my other friends went to those desk jobs and they were bored to tears there. not all though, some. but im still really glad that i went to the zoo :D i think its the only job that you get hands on experience.

each of us were assigned to our sections and i was assigned to the night safari holding area, meaning that its where the surplus animals or the really old animals are kept. most of the animals there are senior citizens already, or they have been bullied by their pack, so they had to be taken out. but i dont mind, most of the animals there are really sweet (: okay, except for the cats, which i didnt dare to go in. and i dont mean by cats as in normal cats, but cats like servals, fishing cats etc. i'll post a picture up later when i do a more detailed post i guess. the sweetest animals there are definitely the slow lorises, and i realize that half of my pictures are of them, which is something that i dont mind (:

this week has been an entirely boring week so far. chinese lessons are a pain and i wish we didnt have to do chinese 'o's. they're such a pain, seriously. my teacher delights in torturing us with boredom and homework. and i thought economics today would be enriching, but it was boring. i was seriously bored to tears, and for the second hour my eyes couldn't open fully. it was that boring.

but on a happier note, i finished maou, hana yori dango and im close to finishing code blue now. im like on a drama marathon! :D maou was brilliant, i shall make another post another time to comment on the brilliantness of maou. it has risen to my favourite drama of all time, somehow. it has this undeniable appeal to it. code blue is nice so far, thank goodness that the scenes arent too gory. hana yori dango was surprisingly nice, though the fight scenes sucked big time. and i was feeling rather disturbed when i realized that i was rooting for matsujun. i mean, its matsujun! i have never, ever found him attractive/cute/appealing and whatnot. i like him better now though, but his hairstyle in hana yori dango sucks big time. oguri shun was suprisingly cute, at the first impression. after awhile i see the reasons why he's not on my top 10 list xD the cutest guy there is undeniably matsuda shota. finally, i see the guy after hearing so much about him. he's really cute though! except for his thick eyebrows.
